Full-flavored blend of pot and continuous still rums from Demerara Distillers Limited of Guyana, including light and heavy rums – the latter distilled in wood pot and column stills. Rich flavors of dark stone fruit, smoky wood, burnt cane, treacle and brown spice.

Hamilton Demerara Rum Tasting Notes

Nose: The nose is molasses, with more subtle traces of leather and tobacco.

Palate: Rich flavors of dark, stone fruit, smoky wood, burnt cane, treacle and brown spice.

Finish: The finish is dry and earthy, with the tobacco fading out last with a slight amount of burn.

Distillery Information

Demerara Distillers operates the last remaining distillery in Guyana at Plantation Diamond on the East bank of the Demerara River. Here they have consolidated all the old original stills, marques and traditional skills which make Demerara Rum so distinctive.
