Distillery Information
The story of the Old St. Croix distillery brand originates with Danish pharmacist Albert Heinrich Riise, who began producing spirits from St. Croix sugarcane in 1838, and created the brand name “Old St. Croix” to market his products internationally. The brand gained international acclaim, winning a gold medal at the 1893 World’s Fair in Chicago, and became a successful export.
