Wine: Vourvoukeli Malagouzia White
Malagouzia is a high quality, full-bodied, aromatic varietal that was recently revived by Greek viticulturists. Virtually extinct until Professor of Oenology Vassilis Logothetis re-discovered it in Nafpaktia in 1970s.Now grown in Thrace, a blessed place, with an extensive history of grape growing, wine production, and wine trade, was mentioned even by Homer. This region is one of the smallest in Greece, that shares a border with Bulgaria.

In 1999, the family of Nikos and Flora Vourvoukeli planted 2 hectares of land on the fertile hills of the area with indigenous and foreign wine grape varieties, with a view to realizing their vision of reviving the famous Avdira vineyard (Thrace IGP). It gradually developed into a privately owned 12-hectare vineyard which is cultivated in accordance with the regulations for organic farming.

Nose: Nose intensely aromatic and complex, as well as aromas of white flowers and tropical fruits.
Palate: Gentle and fruity, moderate acidity.
Finish: Complexity and pleasant finish.
