Tomatin 7 Year Old 2016 Cut Your Wolf Loose Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes
Nose: Grassy and sweet, as if you watered your lawn with Mead for sh#ts and gigs. Theres a lovely summery freshness about it, so much so, that you could whack it in a cologne bottle and spritz yourself.
Palate: Lemons and funky IPA-style fruity note – Think mangos and bananas. Ex-bourbon sweetness is then gently tucked into bed by a surprising smokey curveball!
Finish: Finish is long and lingering like an unsuspecting digit in a Chinese finger trap. Little bit earthy and more of those tropical IPA hoppy notes.
Distillery Information
Although it is thought that whisky has been distilled on the site since the 16th century, when cattle drivers would buy from a local still, the distillery was not established until 1897, under the name of Tomatin Spey Distillery Co Ltd. The distillery operated with only two stills until 1958.
