This expression was first double pot distilled before enjoying maturation time in a combination of Apera (an Australian fortified wine) and various international wine casks. The crucial finishing touch comes from a generous 12-month period in casks that previously held ginger beer—twice as long as its predecessor, edition #6. This extended finish imparts a tremendous amount of zesty, citrussy spice that beautifully complements the whisky’s rich character.
