Whiskey: St George Lot 18 Single Malt
It’s the 18th wonderful batch of St. George single malt from California! The expression was first released back in 2000, and it looks like the whiskey is only getting better as we go on. Lot 18 has been aged in a whole range of Kentucky bourbon barrels, French oak wine casks, Port casks, rum casks and California Sauternes-style casks. Not your average maturation in the slightest, and we love it.

St. George Single Malt Lot 18 is distilled, aged, and blended by the California-based distillery. Head distiller/blender, Dave Smith, crafted this release. It includes whiskey which range in age from 4-19 years of age. Barrels used for maturation include: Kentucky bourbon, used rum, used French oak wine casks, used port casks, and used California sauternes-style wine casks. Availability begins in California beginning November 2018 with other markets to follow in the weeks that follow.
St George Lot 18 Single Malt Whiskey Tasting Notes
Nose: Brandy aromas, with a dusting of cocoa and honey.
Palate: Dark chocolate-covered candied orange, with oily nuts, barley sugar and baking spice.
Finish: Bitter orange marmalade and rich malty notes.
