Sierra Norte is a line of Oaxacan whiskeys from Douglas French, the founder of Scorpion Mezcal, featuring native Oaxacan corn varietals. This is a single barrel expression featuring black corn, with a mash bill of 85% corn and 15% malted barley. It’s aged for approximately 10 months in French oak.

Nose: Barbecued corn, cooked banana, ripe pear and buttery caramel.
Palate: Apricot jam, peaches and vanilla cream, sweet popcorn and caramelised nuts.
Finish: A hit of spice, with cardamom, black pepper and more sweet popcorn.
