Shawi mezcals are produced in Oaxaca by Le Vignoble. Our best guess is that Shawi–like their premium brand of Zacbe mezcal–is made with Espadin agave. Shawi Joven is their clean, un-aged expression. The 2011 Beverage Testing Institute review–in a burst of alliteration–noted Shawi’s as having “Excellent purity, poise, and penetration.”

Nose: Aroma is very pleasant.
Palate: This is extremely rich and very balanced in flavour.
Finish: Finish is smooth and long.
