Distillery Information
Distillerie Poisson, home of Père Labat, is one of the oldest distilleries on Marie-Galante, an island long regarded as a stronghold of traditional agricole rum. The distillery focuses on small-scale production using fresh sugar cane juice, preserving the island’s distinctive terroir. Rum Nation, an independent Italian bottler, has built a reputation for selecting unique casks and releasing them with minimal intervention. Their “Rare Rums” series highlights limited, high-quality expressions from across the Caribbean. This 2017 vintage reflects both the intensity of tropical aging and the finesse of European finishing. The result is a rum that bridges classic agricole freshness with layered cask complexity, offering a refined yet powerful drinking experience.
