After being carefully chosen, the rums are then meticulously married to create a smooth, sweet, and sophisticated spirit which is then cut with pure water before finally being packaged in a voluptuous bottle that simply screams elegance.

Nose: Once poured, this mahogany-colored rum yields a powerful yet graceful aroma of burnt caramel, bourbon, orange zest, roasted nuts, chocolate, floral notes, pipe tobacco, and mature oak.

Palate: This then gives way to a sweet and toasty palate of dates, dark cherry, prunes, sherry, more chocolate, toffee, rich wood, and more tobacco notes.

Finish: A long and scrumptious finish of honey, espresso, vanilla, smoke, and marzipan, beckoning you to take another sip.

Distillery Information

The heavenly taste of Ron Zacapa, the rum that is matured 2,300 meters above sea level in “The House Above The Clouds,” is created by the fertile volcanic soil and weather of Guatemala. Pure rum made by distilling virgin sugar cane honey made from the first-press concentrated sugar cane juice, Zacapa goes on a momentous journey to the Guatemalan highlands where the rum is gradually matured in using the solera system.
