Distillery Information
Redbreast is a range of award-winning Irish single pot still whiskeys. They are produced by the Midleton distillery in County Cork, in the south of the Republic of Ireland. The whiskeys are regarded as a reference point for pot still production. All expressions are triple distilled – something which is rare outside Ireland. The three stills are hand made from copper. This is chosen for its heat conduction properties, and because it reacts with the pungent, volatile sulphur compounds in the esters. The copper sulphate product remains in the still.
