Aged for three years in ex bourbon casks, it is then transferred for a two year finishing period in roasted Canadian and Tennessee rye barrels! A very pleasing sipper, this would go very well with a good pressed apple juice and a wedge of lime.
Panamá-Pacific Reserva 5 Rum Tasting Note
Nose: Caramelized bananas, honey and vanilla meet fresh green apples and the syrup from tinned pears. Oak spice, with a lingering finish.
Palate: A splendid taste with a warm feel to it. Not to smoky but silky smooth.
Finish: Finish is lingering.
