This laser-focused, beautifully polished blend of Syrah, Carignan, Petit Verdot, Grenache and Mourvedre was sourced from a hillside vineyard in Chile’s Itata Valley called Piedra Lisa that was 1 day away from being ripped up since it was long considered to be “useless old-vine Pais.” Little did the owners know that these were 120 year old original rootstock vines from Spain – some of the oldest, most preserved vinifera vines on the planet.
