Mosstowie Decanter 17 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes
Nose: Discreet, dry, spicy wood, old furniture, a cigar box, fine foliage, burnt jam, nuts, baklava, dried fruits, raisins, dried apricots, sweet berry pastry notes, jam pies, deep-fried, grain, light mineral shades.
Palate: Soft, rich, lots of oak, bitter bark, raisins, coffee, nuts, pu er, a lot of dark chocolate.
Finish: Spicy, sweet and sour with bitterness, oak, prune, stew, burnt crackers, notes of dark beer, chocolate, orange peel.
Distillery Information
Andrew Peary and Robert Bain founded Miltonduff distillery in 1824. The distillery had previously operated illicitly on the site since the turning of the century, but following the passing of the Excise Act, Peary and Bain established the distillery as a legitimate business operation.
