Miel de Tierra mezcals are produced in the Mexican state of Zacatecas, which is much farther north than Oaxaca, where the center of mezcal production is. The distillery uses virgin, local oak in order to impart honey flavors and further tame the wild, agave character of the spirit.

Miel de Tierra Reposado Mezcal Tasting Notes

Nose: The eponymous flavors of earth and honey are deftly framed from a sweet, vanilla bean tone of fresh oak on this agave’s lush nose.

Palate: The palate has medium-plus weight and a nice complexity that shows gentle cinnamon spice, sweet clover.

Finish: A pleasant finish of earthy and mineral characters.
