One of the most collectable Macallans of all time, bottled in 1996 for the 35th anniversary of the famous satirical magazine Private Eye. The vatting produced 5,000 bottles and included one cask from 1961. This special edition is also unique in that it features a superb screenprinted label by the legendary gonzo illustrator Ralph Steadman.

Only 5,000 bottles of this Macallan single malt were released in 1996 to celebrate the 35th anniversary of satirical magazine Private Eye. Each bottle bears a screen-printed label designed by Gonzo artist and Private Eye illustrator Ralph Steadman. While this expression doesn’t bear an age statement of a vintage, we do know that a 35-year-old cask from 1961 was included in the vatting among others.

The Macallan distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in Craigellachie, Moray. The Macallan Distillers Ltd, is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Edrington Group which purchased the brand from Highland Distillers in 1999.
