The castle built at the beginning of the 16th century was adapted for the distillation of calvados in 1954, and in 2020 the owners joined the group of whiskey producers. The first three single malt editions of Le Breuil – Origine, Oloroso Sherry Finish and Finition Tourbé (Islay Cask Finish – gained considerable popularity. In 2022, the commercial offer was expanded by blended malt whiskey combined with single malt from Maison Boinaud based in the Cognac region. here Duo de Malt Whiskey Blend is the standard version of this blended malt.
