This is the first small batch Lagg single malt that isn’t a distillery exclusive. Initially matured in bourbon barrels, the malt was transferred to ex-Palo Cortado Sherry casks for finishing.

Distillery Information

Lagg Distillery, located on the southern tip of the Isle of Arran, Scotland, was established in 2019 as a sister distillery to the nearby Arran Distillery in Lochranza. Specializing in peated single malts, Lagg offers a bold, smoky whisky with rich flavors of earth and spice. The distillery’s modern design contrasts with its traditional whisky-making methods reviving a historic distilling tradition on Arran’s south end, where illicit whisky-making once thrived. Despite its youth, Lagg has quickly made a name for itself with its distinctively robust peated malts.
