La Gritona Reposado is a subtle and distinctive 100% blue agave tequila distilled by Melly Cardenas at her small distillery (NOM 1533) in Valle de Guadalupe in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico.

A distinctive tequila distilled by Melly Cardenas at her small distillery in the highlands of Jalisco. Made from mature agave cultivated at the height of it’s sugar production, it is baked within 24 hours of being cut, spends 24 hours in earthen ovens, and is rested for 24 hours before crushing. It is naturally fermented, twice distilled, and rested in reused American whiskey barrels for 8 months. Bottles are hand blown with recycled glass in Guadalajara.
La Gritona Reposado Tequila Tasting Notes
Nose: The nose has an aroma of freshly-laid pavement with stewed agave notes.
Palate: La Gritona is not too sweet, no vanilla, chocolate, or pepper, just refreshing and vegetal agave.
Finish: The finish is extremely round with no burn.
