The much-anticipated 2020 release of Kilchoman’s Loch Gorm, a sherry matured dram from the Islay distillery. This year’s bottling is more restrained than some previous releases, with the sherry casks playing second fiddle to the distillery’s powerful smoky spirit.

Kilchoman Loch Gorm Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes

Nose: Orange and lemon notes, rich smoky peat and cooked fruit.

Palate: Rich chocolate, cinnamon and cloves combined with peat smoke.

Finish: Long and full bodied with a balance of sweet smoke.

Distillery Information

The Kilchoman distillery (pronounced Kil-ho-man) is a distillery that produces single malt Scotch whisky on Islay, an island of the Inner Hebrides.The distillery is situated on the western side of Islay, near the small settlement of Kilchoman. The location made it the most westerly distillery in Scotland, until the Abhainn Dearg Distillery started distilling on the Isle of Lewis.
