Temple Pent is the Number One name on the infamous Key West Wreckers BLACK LIST of people that were forbidden to hold a coveted US Federal Wreckers License. Convicted of Collusion in 1853, Temple Pent made a mistake that would haunt him and tarnish his reputation for the rest of his days. The Old Squire otherwise was a pioneer of his day and a pillar of the community. There is no doubt that he has a smile on his face today as people once again see his name in print, this time in a good fashion. The original Wrecker’s Blacklist can be viewed on display in the Captain’s room at the “Oldest House Museum & Gardens” at 322 Duval Street in Key West, Florida.
