Kavalan Triple Sherry Cask is the link between the distillery’s standard bottlings and single cask bottlings. This Kavalan matured in three different sherry casks: Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez and Moscatel. The silver lines below the cork represent the Taiwan Central Mountains and the Xueshan Mountains, which enclose the Kavalan Distillery. The water used for production is filtered through volcanic rock and is therefore particularly rich in minerals

Kavalan Triple Sherry Cask Tasting Notes

Nose: Ripe berries and dried fruits, fresh aromas of grapes and citrus blended with the sweetness of brownies and toffee. Hints of cinnamon, clover and spices, pleasant oak notes, rosemary.

Palate: Persistent, complex aromas of warm tones of sherry and dried fruit, with soft texture, candied fruit, caramel and honey sweetness.

Finish: Medium length, with a nutty note, more chocolate and caramel, pleasant notes of toasted wood.

Kavalan Distillery has been pioneering the art of single malt whisky in Yilan County, Taiwan since 2005. Kavalan sources the mineral-rich meltwaters of Snow Mountain and is aged in a unique combination of intense heat and humidity together with sea and mountain breezes. All this combines to create the quality, smoothness, and fruity character for which Kavalan is known.
