Jack Daniel’s Sweet Forward Single Barrel Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes

Nose: “Rich, deep. The beautifully oxidative and rancio first nose (mango, orange, apricot) is also floral (iris, lily), chocolatey, nobly woody and spicy (saffron, new oak).”

Palate: “Chocolate, ginger, cinnamon and candied citrus fruit (lemon, orange) but is also rich (almond pastry, pistachio cake).”

Finish: “Long, firm. Settled in its fruity, vegetable stance, the start of the finish invites us to go picking oranges and mandarins.”

Distillery Information

1866. The Jack Daniel Distillery is officially established, making it the very first registered distillery within the US, with Jack as the Master Distiller. The opening of his now-famous distillery would follow shortly thereafter.
