Nose: A potent, labyrinthine liquid exuding syrup and smoke, stone fruit and floral notes.
Palate: Creamy sweet and lightly peaty to sip. Cinnamon and toffee tints.
Finish: Phenomenally long, slow and savoury-sweet. A floral edge, citrus, smoked ham and hints of espresso.
Distillery Information
Highland Park was officially founded in 1798 by David Robertson in Kirkwall, the Orkney islands capital. Illegal distilling took place on the same site for decades with one famous character from that time particularly prominent. His name was Magnus Eunson, who was known as ‘The Whisky Priest’.
