A truly awesome 1995 vintage Cognac from the wonderful Chez Richon, produced predominantly from Ugni Blanc grapes, though there’s a few Folle Blanche in there too. After distillation, it was matured in 350 litre casks, with around eight months in new oak before it was transferred to old Limousin casks. After resting in damp cellars, it was eventually bottled by Hermitage at 43% ABV.

Nose: Full-bodied aroma.
Palate: A splendid taste with a warm feel to it. Not to smoky but silky smooth.
Finish: Finish is lingering.
