Hennessy XO (Extra Old) is the result of craftsmanship that has been honed for over a century. The powerful eaux-de-vie in this blend achieve a roundness over time – the result is a bold, rich cognac.An icon of Hennessy, X.O has remained unchanged since its creation. Around 100 of the finest eaux-de-vie are carefully selected and aged to create this sophisticated blend. The ageing process distinguishes X.O from our other blends. The eaux-de-vie are aged for a minimum of 10 years in mainly French oak barrels. Absorbing tannins from the wood, the cognac develops a uniquely satisfying character that is robust and rich, with incredible persistence.

Nose: A rich, fruity palate with prunes, Corinth raisins and sticky toffee pudding.
Palate: Dark chocolate and over-ripe plums. A little sultana character, cocoa butter and spice.
Finish: Spicy, vanilla-led finish with all kinds of dark fruits.
Distillery Information
The dynastic Hennessy family has been dominating the Cognac industry for two and a half centuries. In 1765, Richard Hennessy, an Irish officer serving in Louis XV’s army, set out to create the world’s finest cognac. The refined and highly popularized elixir became a thriving export business, shipping as far as Ireland, Britain, and all throughout Europe.
