Glenmorangie 12 Year Old Calvados Cask Finish Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes

Nose: A very fragrant whiskey with a strong strength, with notes of baked apples, pears, vanilla, almonds and a slight waxy note.

Palate: The taste is oily and spicy at the same time and leads to a wealth of sweet aromas. Notes of baked pears, candied apples, marzipan.

Finish: Long, persistent and almost slightly cooling.

Distillery Information

In the 1730s a brewery was built on the site that shared the farm’s water source, the Tarlogie Spring. A former distillery manager, William Matheson, acquired the farm in 1843 and converted the Morangie brewery to a distillery, equipped with two-second hand gin stills. He later renamed the distillery Glenmorangie.
