Glenburgie 25 Year Old – Distillery Labels (Gordon & MacPhail) Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes
Nose: Rich vanilla aromas with fresh green apple, lime zest, and ripe tropical notes – pineapple, peach, and apricot with a touch of ginger.
Palate: Smooth and creamy with rich exotic fruit flavours coming to the fore – pineapple, mango, peach, and lime zest tempered by a touch of black pepper.
Finish: The finish is fruity with a subtle hint of fresh mint and oak.
Distillery Information
There are mentions of a distillery being founded as early as 1810, then known as Kilnflat. It wasn’t until 1829 that official records for the distillery show up. After running into financial difficulty, the distillery closed in 1870 before being renamed Glenburgie in 1871. It re-opened in 1878, under Charles Kay.
