Please note that this The Whisky Agency (TWA) is Ex-Bourbon Barrel. It is also worth mentioning that this is uncolored, non-chillfiltered, cask strength, single cask whisky edition of Glenallachie. This is one of only 218 bottles ever produced. A fact, that makes this edition even more desirable.

GlenAllachie 1973 TWA Moody Lions 38 Year Old Tasting Notes

Nose: Fresh and fruity. Focused on pears and apples.

Palate: Slightly hot with rather more oak. Again some leafy notes to accompany the otherwise sweet fruit cake, apple and almond flavours. Fairly dry in the end with a noticeable bitterness.

Finish: Long and dry with vanilla, apples and malt.

Distillery Information

GlenAllachie is a malt whisky distillery on Speyside at Aberlour founded in 1967. It has mainly produced whisky for blends. Under Chivas ownership it released 2 official bottlings at cask strength, one of 16 and one of 18 years old. A new core range of 10, 12, 18 and 25 year old whisky was released in 2018 under the new ownership, as well as additional single cask releases.
