Distillery Information
Global brand ambassador Nicola Olianas says Fernet-Branca was first distilled in Milan in 1845 by parent company Fratelli Branca as a herbal remedy for cholera. Its co-creator, Bernadino Branca, was considered an alchemist and his potion soon caught the eye of Father Nappi, who ran the local hospital.
