Here we have a Mexican rum from Charanda. El Tarasco Extra Aged is distilled from sugarcane harvested in the mountains of Michoacán, and then placed in American white oak bourbon casks to rest for around a year and a half. It’s matured in the warm forests of Uruapan and then bottled at 38% ABV. Not a bad contender for a rum Old Fashioned right here.

Nose: Nose is complex yet not overwhelming.
Palate: This is extremely rich and very balanced in taste.
Finish: Lingering finish.
