Distillery Information
For many years, Edradour claimed to be the smallest distillery in Scotland. Some of the new artisan distilleries that have appeared in the 21st Century are clearly smaller, and Edradour has more interesting claims to fame than simply being small. By 1982, Edradour was was sold to a subsidiary of Pernod Ricard who launched it as a single malt brand in 1986. In 2002, Pernod sold Edradour to the independent bottler Signatory who have run it ever since. There is now a large range of Edradour bottlings including two a distinct peated variation named Ballechin (named after another distillery that once existed in the area).
