The Italian wine, made with the Nebbiolo grape, also makes a very good cask for maturing Edradour whisky in. So that’s what the Highland distillery did, for 12 years no less, until this whisky was bottled in 2023 at 48.2% ABV with no additional colouring or chill-filtration.
