The mashbill here is 60% corn, 20% rye and 20% malted barley, and it was matured in virgin American oak barrels for four years before being bottled without chill-filtration at 48% ABV.

Driftless Glen Small Batch Bourbon Tasting Notes

Nose: Charred oak, clove, and dark chocolate sit in a bed of creamy vanilla and caramel.

Palate: Oaky vanilla is once again a bedrock from which notes of toffee apple, cherries, chocolate, and cinnamon emerge.

Finish: Sweet and with plenty of aromatic spice.

At Driftless Glen, the goal is to make spirits just as unique as the people who taste them. So when they searched the country for a terroir harboring the grain and water necessary to make a matchless expression of bourbon and rye, they couldn’t ignore the Driftless Area in Wisconsin Using local Midwest grain and water from the Driftless Region, they produce and barrel bourbon or rye daily, and they are always happy to demonstrate how important superior distillation is to them.
