The first-ever release of smoky whisky from Cragganmore distillery, this Speyside single malt has been matured in refill American oak casks for 12 years, before being bottled for Diageo’s 2019 Special Releases. Aromas of crispy bacon and waxy lemons open on the nose, followed by burning leaves, damp peat, fresh pine, cinnamon bark and buttered malt loaf. The palate offers notes of spiced toffee, sponge cake, soft smoke and moss, developing into spiced chocolate, candied orange, charred leaves and damp oak.
