Distillery Information
Established in the early 1800s by Emmanuel Courvoisier, who was born in 1789 in Jarnac, in the heart of the Cognac region in south-west France. Courvoisier sources eaux-de-vie from the following crus to create their blends – Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies and Fin Bois. Distillation takes place between November and March – the spirit is double-distilled in Charentais alembic copper pot stills before barrel ageing takes place in Tronçais oak. Alongside a core range than extends from VS to XO, Courvoisier has issued a number of limited editions and special releases, including a notable collaboration with Russian-born artist Erté.
