As part of the second release of Expressiones del Corazón, this limited Artisanal Edition Blanco uses 100% blue weber agave with its brix measured before harvest, instead of traditional clear cut. Two sets were harvested for the blanco – one with lower sugar and one with higher. This blend is the unaged spirit that also goes into the expressions aged in selected barrels once used for different marks of Buffalo Trace bourbon and rye.
Corazon Artisanal Edition Blanco Tequila Tasting Notes
Nose: Cooked Agave, Herbal, Citrus, Aniseed and notes of green apple.
Palate: The duality of the agaves is apparent at first sip, and it’s well balanced between both sweet and dry flavors. The sweet notes comprise vanilla, white peach and spearmint. The drier notes are vegetal, with rosemary, thyme and grassiness.
Finish: The finish is long, lingering and smooth, making it easy to sip neat.
