Hailing from Jamaica’s Clarendon distillery, a splendid single cask rum, independently bottled for The Wild Parrot series! This expression was distilled in 2007 and rested in the cask until 2022 when it was bottled up at an approachable 45% ABV. A top-class sipping rum, brimming with delicious esters and treacly oak.

Nose: Spices and hay bales, dark notes, polished leather, wet oak, dark and tasty fruits flow across the nose effortlessly.

Palate: Tangy rich and complex aromas, old school rum for sure with the opening of the palate, Sharp sweet spices, black cracked peppers, dark liquorice and hints of dark cherry, a rich liquorice root comes in to play across the whole palate, tangy blackcurrant, and spiced apple

Finish: Rich fruit cake with a honey glaze in the finish.

Distillery Information

The distillery is owned for 73% by National Rums of Jamaica, a partnership between the Jamaican government, the West Indies Rum Distillery (owned since 2017 by Maison Ferrand), and Demerara Distillers. The other 27% is in the hands of Diageo, who use the majority of the distillery’s production for Captain Morgan.
