CH Bourbon is made from a base of corn and rye, which to us suggests a “high rye” bourbon grain bill with significant spicy kick. It is aged for a relatively brief 20 months in charred American oak, suggesting a grain forward flavor and then bottled at a very stiff 105 proof. The bourbon is sourced from another distillery but owned by the CH Distillery.

Nose: Brown Sugar & Maple.

Palate: Oaky Sweetness.

Finish: Vanilla fades to oaky notes.

Distillery Information

CH Distillery was founded by Tremaine Atkinson and Mark Lucas in 2012. Atkinson has a background in home brewing and a shared passion for vodka with his lifelong friend in Lucas. Their distillery includes a cocktail bar with food plus several mentions in various press about signature cocktails and homemade infusions. They call themselves a “grain to bottle” distillery.
