Cazcanes Nuestras Raíces Still Strength Blanco Edición Especial 2025 is a tribute to the roots of tequila—both literal and cultural. Crafted by Maestro Destilador Humberto Alvarado, a third-generation distiller from La Estancita, Jalisco, this 100% additive-free tequila embodies raw authenticity. Bottled at 47% ABV, it delivers the bold, unfiltered character of El Valle’s mature Blue Weber Agave with no shortcuts, no additives, and no compromise.
Cazcanes Nuestras Raices Still Strength Blanco Edicion 2025 Tequila Tasting Notes
Nose: Explosive notes of raw and roasted agave, green pepper skin, fresh cut grass, and a grounding layer of minerality. Soft earth and wild herbs linger at the edges.
Palate: Bold, expressive, and mouth-coating. Leads with cooked agave, opening into crushed river rock, lime zest, herbal salinity, and a gentle char from the wood-fired distillation.
Finish: Long, dry, and clean. Echoes of stone, smoke, and peppery brightness linger with a natural warmth and satisfying salinity.
Distillery Information
Cazcanes is a well-regarded Tequila brand produced at Tequilera TAP, just north of Amatitán in Jalisco, Mexico, by respected master distiller Francisco “Chico” Jiménez Lazcarro. The brand was established in 2017 and is based in Northridge, California. A standard range of Tequilas is produced, covering Blanco, Reposado, Joven, Anejo and Extra Anejo iterations. These tequilas are traditionally produced, certified additive-free and later releases are certified organic, kosher, gluten-free, and non-GMO. Initial batches of Cazcanes were produced at the Familia Landeros facility (which makes the Atanasio label, among others), roughly midway between Amatitán and Tequila to the northwest. Production has since moved to TAP, with Tequila releases from the new distillery released in early 2023.
