The oldest release from BenRiach’s 13th batch of special single cask bottlings is this peated 40 year old single malt Scotch whisky from 1975. Mature in single sherry butt #7028 until 2016, then bottled at cask strength, 53% with 511 bottles filled.

Nose: Bursting with tropical fruits and ripe banana with the most distant hint of campfire embers.
Palate: Plum skins, dark raisins and hints of yellow pear holds a robust peat reek. Rich vintage leather and old oaky characters add a classic aged depth.
Finish: Oaky finish.

The BenRiach distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in the Speyside area of Scotland. It is currently owned by Brown-Forman Corporation after being purchased on 1 June 2016 as a subsidiary from the BenRiach Distillery Company Limited, formed by two South African funding partners, Geoff Bell and Wayne Keiswetter, and Scotch whisky expert Billy Walker.
