Malt master David Stewart has skilfully married together small amounts of the Balvenie matured in 4 refill hogsheads and 3 sherry butts. These have quietly matured for at least 40 years. Different cask types impart different characteristics, bringing together a perfect harmony of fruit, spice, sweetness, citrus and oak to create a Balvenie of the very highest order.

Nose: Rich oak and soft leather, stewed fruits with hints of vanilla.

Palate: Spicy cinnamon and ginger gives a mouth coating sweetness. Some nutty notes with sherried fruits and a gentle oakiness.

Finish: Rich, dry and warming.
