Law’s flagship Four Grain is crafted from the four “American mother grains”: corn, wheat, barley, and rye. It involves a stepped cook process.This edition is made from a mash bill of 60% corn, 20% wheat, 10% rye, 10% barley and aged for over three years. Typical of small run bottlings, the ABV and flavour profile may vary from batch to batch.

AD Laws Four Grain Straight Bourbon Whiskey Tasting Notes

Nose: Sweet aromas of roasted corn, grilled peppers, cayenne pepper and chilis.

Palate: Notes of chewy leather, toasted wheat, caramel, vanilla, spicy rye.

Finish: Finish accented by touches of spicy rye and moist tobacco.

Distillery Information

Colorado’s Laws Whiskey House was established back in 2011 as a “a purpose driven, grain to bottle whiskey distillery,” with a focus on open-air, on grain fermentation; high altitude grown, American mother grains and mountain spring water in the mash and aging in 53-gallon, charred American oak barrels. Its expressions have netted a huge range of awards over the years, including most recently being the category winner at the World Whiskies Awards for American rye 12 years and under. The distillery is now bringing its latest to market in the form of an older bottled in bond offering.
