Distilled by Aymeric Roborel De Climens in France comes this glorious single malt, produced from 100% French barley. After initial maturation in French oak, the whisky was treated to a finishing period in ex-Sémillon barrels from sweet wine producer Château Doisy-Daëne imparting a complex array of candied fruit and rich malty oak.
A. Roborel De Climens Finition Sémillon Whisky | 500ML Tasting Notes
Nose: A whiff of grilled peach, orange zest, and crushed nuts. Subtle peat smoke is apparent, amongst sweeter fruit notes.
Palate: Rich and mouthcoating, sweet, vinous character and bold malt combine with silky fruit notes and oily oak.
Finish: Plump sultanas and candied fruits, soft peat lingers with floral smoke and toasted oak spice.
