Producer Information
Yalumba is a family-owned winery, located in the Barossa Valley of South Australia. It was founded by Samuel Smith in 1849, making it one of the oldest wineries in Australia. Yalumba takes its name from the Aboriginal word for “all the land around”. The company’s vineyards are found in the Barossa and Eden valleys which produce a portfolio of more than 40 different wines. After releasing an inaugural vintage in 1853, Yalumba is now at the forefront of the Australian wine industry, making wines from classic Australian grapes like Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. This includes old-vine wines, single-varietal wines, tawy ports and the Fine and Rare collection as well as an organic range and their entry-level Y series. The Fine and Rare Collection is the pinnacle of the expressions in the Yalumba portfolio and encompasses single-varietal and blended releases.
