Producer Information
Ca’ Momi Winery is a wine estate situated in the Napa Valley. It was founded in 2006 by Valentina Guolo-Migotto, Dario De Conti and Stefano Migotto, and today makes a portfolio of wines from vineyards spanning California’s key wine regions, including its three vineyards in Carneros and Wild Horse Valley. All three founders grew up in the Veneto region of northern Italy and named the estate after an infamous winegrower in Veneto who was renowned for his obsession with protecting his vineyards. The four-hectare (11-acre) Crescendo vineyard in Carneros was first planted to Pinot Noir in 1973, and today comprises some of Carneros’ oldest vines. Pinot Noir, Merlot and Chardonnay are cultivated at the Cercando vineyard (also in Carneros and located around a mile/1.2km north of the Crescendo site), which spans a total of four hectares (nine acres). The Ca’ Momi estate vineyard in Wild Horse Valley (in the hills east of Napa) lies at an altitude of 1400ft (427m) and is planted to grape varieties including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Merlot. The winery also buys in fruit from growers across Napa Valley. The Ca’ Momi Winery portfolio has a range of red, white and sparkling wines. These include the Rosso di Ca’ Momi, made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Zinfandel; a varietal Chardonnay; and multiple red, varietally labeled standard and reserve wines. The winery also produces sparkling wines (made with the charmat method) with a white made from a blend of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Gewürztraminer and Muscat and a rosé from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
