Ataraxia Wines is located in a high position in the serene Hemel-en-Aarde wine-producing region. It is a small distance away from the coastal village of Hermanus, and a short, beautiful drive will bring you to the highest part of the country. The estate has gorgeous vines, high mountains, and serene natural beauty. You can take in great views from their wine tasting lounge while sipping some of South Africa’s best wines. Ataraxia Wines is known to produce exceptional wines that show the qualities of their unique region and are internationally acclaimed. The name of the winery comes from a Greek word origin meaning “serene state-of-mind free from any preoccupation and worries.” The winery is located at the base of a high peak of Babylon’s Tower Mountain Range. The owners, Kevin and Hanli Grant, purchased Skyfield Farms, a 47-hectare property converting it into wine production. The winery is known to produce exceptional wines that show the qualities of their region and are internationally acclaimed.
