In the heart of Basque Country, the area that sits atop of Spain along the northern Atlantic Coast and is known for it’s wild lands, own language and culinary awards, is also home to premiere vineyards. Their family-owned 14th century estate, Inazio Urruzola, is located in the heart of Basque Country, Alkiza. It’s here where their family lives among the grapes. They take close care of their estate vineyards, and crafting wine is both their hobby and their way of life. They aim to show the essence of their estate, the harmony between nature and humanity. In the coastal mountain town of Alkiza, the ocean breeze comes in from the sea cuddles the slopes of Mount Hernio, giving theirr vineyard a remarkable touch. The grape of choice is HondarrAbi Zuri, the jewel of the Basque Country. The proximity of the Cantabrian sea and the Atlantic climate make this wine so distinctive. Year after year, the txakoli ripens with new flavors, colors and aromas.
