Producer Information
Domaine Berthaut-Gerbet (formerly known as Domaine Berthaut) is a wine producer based in the village of Fixin in the Côte de Nuits subregion of Burgundy. The domaine is run by husband-and-wife team Amélie Berthaut and Nicolas Faure. The domaine vineyards cover around 18 hectares (44 acres) with plots in Fixin and Vosne-Romanée – the latter coming into the domaine via a portion of Berthaut’s mother’s family estate, Domaine Gerbet. Other domaine holdings include vines (some of which are premier cru sites) in Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle-Musigny and Vougeot. Two grands crus are produced: a Clos de Vougeot and an Echezeaux. Production is principally red, with Pinot Noir making up the bulk of viticulture and winemaking with only a small amount of Chardonnay and Aligoté.
