Description
White Wine: 2020 | Weingut Horst Sauer | Escherndorfer am Lumpen 1655 Silvaner GG
Intense bouquet with a full basket of ripe fruit: juicy stone fruit, nectarine, apricots, backed by spicy-yeasty notes. A full load of fruit on the palate too, paired with lots of spice and intense herbal notes that (will) marry with the fruit, fine, very clear juice in the aromatic, spicy finale.

Reviews:
- Heiner Lobenberg: Gathered and very concentrated on the nose, melon, apple peel, papaya, beautiful fragrant orange blossom. What a wonderfully interwoven, highly complex fragrance. The mouth continues this seamlessly, here come countless waves of exotic-spicy fruit, passion fruit, kiwi, also green bacon, which are creamy, but also very juicy and vital on the palate.
Producer Information
Horst Sauer and his daughter Sandra work together over 18 hectares of the best vineyards in Franconia. When Horst Sauer took over the business, which had already been founded by his great-grandfather, from his father, it was just 2.5 hectares without self-marketing.For more than a thousand years, an individual microclimate has characterized this outstanding location. The steep slope opens to the south like a parabolic mirror, collects all the sun’s rays throughout the year and protects the vines from cold north and east winds in winter. The combination of slope, solar radiation and soil of the upper shell limestone is unique. This terroir produces wines with distinctive, concentrated fruit and longevity.
